It happens very often in life that we either get a little too lost in our own highs or lows. We can get ground down into the doldrums and forget how magical and wondrous life can be or we can get taken up by our own hubris and forget that the everyday world exists at all.
When this happens we need to take a moment and talk to people who can remind us why we started dreaming big in the first place or who will pull us out of our idealism and tell us that the little things may be what matter most.
My Dinner With Andre examines the lives of two characters who are in these exact predicaments. Wally (the Heroine), needs to feel inspired again and Andre (the Hero) needs to come back to the “real world” every now and then.
In this episode of The Deeper Meaning Podcast, Christine, Michael and Mark sit around a firepit and discuss the film My Dinner With Andre and dive into the lessons that a supposed “boring movie” from 1981 has for us in the 21st century. (recorded November, 2021).
